From the early age of only 10 years old, my rally driving father was dragging me kicking and screaming to stand in the cold most weekends to catch a glimpse of rally cars motoring past for only a few seconds… I really started to appreciate motorsport when he took me to the World Rally Championships and I witnessed the rally legends that were Richard Burns and Colin McRae battling it out along the cold, wintery country dirt tracks in Wales.

Since then, I can well and truly describe myself as the most unexpected “petrol head”. I enjoy all aspects of motorsport, from rallying to F1 and not forgetting the awesome BTCC!

My current car is a Honda S2000 GT100 called Snoopy, yes, I name my cars, I’m a girl, judge me… Over the years we’ve also had Tweety Pie and Sonic to name a few.

I might be a girl but I can assure you I don’t drive like one, I love a good weekend trip to the karting track and I once had the pleasure of driving a 500BHP Sapphire Cosworth around Silverstone (lets just say the owner was pleasantly surprised to have it returned it one piece)

My dream car would definitely be an 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish V12 (well, to start my collection anyway).

Cars, motorsport and engineering signify the very best of what man is capable of achieving. No other form of machine is so obtainable and enjoyable, giving you freedom from everyday life. Nothing compares to a well-bred car on a mountain road, the thundering noise, the blurred view over a bonnet, the smell of fuel and rubber. A good car ignites your senses. A car has a soul. A car is capable of being part of you.

After years of racing RC cars and becoming a master on Colin McRae Rally 2, I moved in to racing karts and had my very first project car at 13. She was a half red, half gold Austin Mini with half an engine and a deck chair as a seat! You never forget your first love, especially when it cost you £30 and left your feelings intact.

After years of motorsport focused college and university, I was lucky enough to make a career in motorsport and the automotive industry. I worked at M-Sport supporting the WRC programme, before becoming self-employed, tuning stability control systems. Despite the hard work and complexity of it, it’s hard to believe it’s a paid job!

Heavily influenced by 1990’s Gran Turismo, I spend my free time in my garage rebuilding my NB8 Eunos Roadster for light track use and touring. I may have dream cars, but MX5’s are my favourites!

Current Cars: 2000 Eunos Roadster Icon, 2009 Mazda2 Sport

Dream car: Depending on which day of the week you ask me, Jaguar C-Type, D-Type “Long Nose” or a mid-90’s Impreza WRC. I can’t choose!

Best Car Driven: 2014 Range Rover Autobiography.

I was always the kid in class drawing cars in school books rather than paying attention. The earliest example of which being a recognisable Lamborghini Countach that I drew at 4 years old, presumably after watching Cannonball Run. Between my general obsession for both road and competition cars, and my love of drawing and design, I learned to see cars in a different way to most.

I’ve spent my life dreaming of being a racing driver, but without the bank balance required for such dreams. This led me to virtual sim racing, in which I raced competitively for 5 years, which fed my hunger for racing while following Formula 1 and Nascar.

I currently drive a 1991 Mazda MX5, which has received a handful of modifications, much to the dismay of my wallet. Its predecessors include a 1995 BMW 325TD and a 1997 Peugeot 306.

As for my favourite car, that honour is held by the Saleen S7. I have found that the majority of people don’t know what that car is, but if you have watched “Bruce Almighty”, it’s the silver supercar in that.

Worst Car Driven: 1998 Ford Mondeo
